Here are some moments that are great for writing notes to someone! Look for these in your workday:

  • Someone who helped you

    • Examples: A coworker who filled in for you, a student who stayed after class to help clean up, a boss who took time to support you

  • Someone who helped someone else

    • Examples: A student who supported a peer without being asked, a coworker who you observed taking extra time and energy to help a student, a caring adult who showed up to support kids at an event

  • Someone who was brave

    • Example: A coworker who called out an “ism”, a student who talked in class even when they felt scared, a student who stood up for a peer who was being bullied

  • Someone who achieved something they were working toward

    • Example: A student achieved a grade they had been working toward, a coworker finished implementing a new project idea, a boss facilitated improvements in workplace achievement measures

Comment below how note writing helped to generate some hope.
